Mechanical Student Awarded James D. Arangio Memorial Scholarship

Mechanical engineering student John (Jack) Streed, E’22, was awarded the 2018 James D. Arangio Memorial Scholarship. The family of James D. Arangio ’62 established the scholarship fund in the name of their father James to benefit one deserving undergraduate student with a similar passion and dedication to the field of Mechanical Engineering and ASME. James was the consummate engineer and an active member of ASME that dedicated his life to learning and practice. It is the hope of the family to honor him with this gift to aid and advance one student along a similar path of discovery. Now in its sixth year, this is the first time the scholarship has been awarded to a freshman.
