Maheswaren, Wan Named to ASEE-NE Leadership
At the American Society for Engineering Education Northeast Section of Zone 1 Conference held April 19-20, Bala Maheswaran, COE Distinguished Professor, electrical and computer engineering and first-year engineering program, was named to the leadership of the ASEE board of directors and Kai-tak Wan, professor of mechanical and industrial engineering, was named ASEE-NE Section Chair for 2024-2026.

Northeastern Research Study Shows the Potential of AI for Stem Cell Manufacturing
MIE Assistant Professor Wei Xie, the primary investigator for a Northeastern research study on bio-drug automation and manufacturing, explains the part that AI can play in successful cell cultivation. Two papers recently published by Xie and her co-authors propose models for predicting mechanisms in both singular cells and clusters of cells.
